Begin by harvesting bright, youthful and healthy petals. Collect them in the bright day afternoon to make sure that the dandelion flowers don’t comprises any moisture or dew for they have had sun on them all the day, so they’re as dry as they can be.

Dandelion flower infused oil makes this salve good for: sore muscles, achy and arthritis joints, rough or chapped skin. To make dandelion salve, you will need to make infused oil first.
You might be bit worry about how to make dandelion infused oil? Here is the instruction for dandelion infused oil:
Let dandelion flowers air dry for a few days after collecting them from the field in the bright day afternoon and infuse in the oil you like. Suggested oils include sunflower, avocado, hemp, olive oil, coconut or something like sweet almond oil or dehydrate at under 104F for a day. Bring a jar and fill it with dandelion flower (pick out petals only) at least an equal amount with oil (or much as you can in the oil). After following the instruction stated till now the next step is leave it for a week or two. Put it somewhere dark and every time you remember give it a turnover. Every now and again give it a turn upside down and invert. Don’t give it a shake. Remember, you don’t want to leave it any longer than two weeks because they can go a bit off. After one or two weeks you’ve to strain the oil from the dandelion leaves. Take a bowl with a sieve (use cheese making cloth over the sieve) or any muslin or something that you have in there. Now pour it in the bowl by using sieve and leave them to drain for few moment as all the oil would have been come through what is the next step to do is gather up the edges of cloth we have put over the sieve and squeeze all that dandelion goodness out so you want to get as much as possible out.

For a quick infusion with coconut oil: set the uncovered jar down into a small saucepan filled with water (double boiler method using a strainer), bring to boil then lower the heat, let it cool down until warm enough to handle with your hand, then strain.

For a slower, more traditional infusion: Suggested oils include sunflower, olive, avocado, and hemp. Cap the jar of dried dandelion flowers and oil and let it sit in a dark place or somewhere in your cupboard for one or two weeks, shaking occasionally. When the infused time has passed, strain.
